Thompson Creek Trail
Just don’t do a ghost hunt there, overall it’s not worth it.
Thompson Creek Trail resides in the northern part of Claremont. It was formed in 1977. It is about 2.8 miles long and runs along the flood control channel.
I do not recommend going late at night due to there being Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Rattle Snakes and more!. Yes it is a creepy place, Great for high school kids and Teenagers alike.
Mostly what you read on the internet on Thompson Creek Trail is that it has fogs that form skulls. I grew up nearby and visited recently and have never seen any of that. The crackling and walking sounds I heard happened to be wildlife and not paranormal.
I will be going back and making a video out of this to show that its not all its been said to be. Mostly a place that fell victim to tall tales.
It happens to be the same situation as the Botanical Gardens right down the street from the middle point of the trail. It’s said an Indian girl can be seen sitting and crying by the lake….. There is no lake except for the first one. Have been there many times and have not seen anything nor felt anything. I have even gotten the guts to ask about it and just got the “You’re crazy” look. Nothing more than just a fun tall tale.
BUT however across the street is Griswalds Old School House aka Claremont High School.
It’s the old school house that resides below the new high school which went into place in the 70’s I believe. In this old school house resides a bomb shelter from the cold war era down below and before the remodeling was tons of fun. Alot of weird feelings, mist, cold spots, incredible evps. I have been planning a re-visit to it.
It just had a refurbishment/remodel but it would be interesting to see if those same feelings are there. The only bad history when it comes to death would be the accidents that happened in the intersection of Foothill aka route 66 and Indian Hill Blvd. Pedestrian accidents and Vehicle accidents. Other than that, no deaths on site of the school. Maybe just somebody in the long ago past that never wanted to leave?
When I find the time I’m hoping to clear up the local areas and try to save everyone time. Some of the places listed on the net are not moderated. They happen to be posted and forgotten about. If it sounds good and draws in eyes anyone with a website will leave anything that is actually false. I have tried clearing these instances up failing horribly because to some of these website owners its all about numbers no matter how far you take the BS. Ive rambled long enough and will step off my soap box
